Cartier Calibre Diver: diver and merits...

Cartier has presented in preview of the SIHH 2014, one of the watch stars of next year: the Calibre de Cartier Diver. A true diving watch, very masculine and manly with his box of 42 mm available in two versions (steel or pink gold), waterproof 300 meters, with the inevitable automatic calibre "manufacture" 1904 MC. A timepiece that was missing in the collections of the prestigious Parisian watchmaker-jeweler.

As on all dive watches and in order to avoid any inadvertent rotation or carelessness, the rotating bezel is unidirectional. Its 120 crans (40 teeth and 3 points) design allows high precision setting the half minute and crisp, clear sound during its rotation. On the other hand, and for more visibility, markings indicating every 5 minute period are clearly marked.

This caliber of 11 lines is designed to ensure perfect chronometric stability through a double-barrel which guarantees an excellent consistency of the mainspring torque over a long period. Equipped with fine adjustment and a mechanism of stop-second, it was designed to perfectly adjust the Chronometry of the movement and guarantee a high accuracy of market. Caliber 1904 MC is equipped with a system of ball bearings in ceramic, located in the center of the rotor, which ensures its durability and excellent support in the event of shocks. Equipped with even more innovative ratchet, it allows to optimize the comfort of armament of the watch through increased speed of winding and a two-way winding system.
